At Plaquimet, we have a specialized testing center that guarantees the maximum performance of our products. Thanks to the daily work of our technical team, we test and perfect their properties to meet the highest quality standards.
For our Britec Gelcoat line, the main tests performed are:
Blistering: Simulates accelerated attack by contact with water for periods equivalent to 3, 5, or 10 years. It complies with the ANSI Z standard and demonstrates Britec’s effectiveness in preventing blistering in demanding environments.
QUV Weathering: Reproduces the effect of the passage of time through UV cycles, rain, and darkness. Under ASTM standards, it allows you to project how the surface behaves under real-world weathering conditions.
Color Spectrophotometer: Ensures traceability and color consistency between batches, even over time. Because aesthetics are also durability.
Gloss Meter: Quantitatively evaluates surface gloss and allows for accurate comparisons before and after QUV weathering.
