Regional advance in GRP posts

At Plaquimet, we continue to drive the development of the regional market for fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) poles through our Polymet resin and Britec gelcoat lines. These are recognized for their excellent performance in extreme weather conditions such as ultraviolet radiation, salt corrosion, soil acidity, and fire.

Poles manufactured with Polymet and Britec meet demanding international standards such as ASTM G154 (resistance to degradation), ASTM D635 (self-extinguishing flammability), ASTM D570 (water absorption), and AMMA 615 (color retention and adhesion in dry and wet conditions). These certifications guarantee the durability, quality, and performance of FRP poles, even in the most demanding environments.

Thanks to their low weight, standard-sized poles can be transported by just two people, significantly reducing installation costs, the need for cranes, and workplace hazards. In flooded areas, they can even be transported by floating, which improves logistical efficiency and operational safety.

With established clients in Bolivia and Argentina, Plaquimet plans to expand its presence into new countries in the region, offering integrated, efficient solutions aligned with the highest international standards.
